Are you a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of primary-aged children with special educational needs? Reeson Education is excited to present a full-time SEN Teacher vacancy at a supportive primary school in Roehampton. Join us in providing exceptional education and support for children with special needs, with a long-term opportunity starting in September.

SEN Teacher Key Responsibilities:

  • Specialised Teaching: Deliver tailored lessons and interventions to meet the individual needs of students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and other learning disabilities.
  • IEP Development: Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals, setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) targets.
  • Inclusive Practices: Promote inclusive practices within the classroom and the wider school environment, ensuring all students have access to a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, using a variety of assessment tools, and provide feedback to students, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive and supportive learning environment, addressing any behavioural issues promptly and effectively.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, other teachers, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support to students, sharing best practices and resources.

SEN Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold QTS and have significant experience teaching primary-aged children with special educational needs.
  • Special Needs Experience: Demonstrate a strong understanding of various special educational needs and effective strategies for teaching and supporting students with SEN.
  • IEP Proficiency: Experience in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Passion for SEN Education: Show a genuine passion for SEN education and a commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of every student.
