We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive SEN school in Ealing. This long-term temporary role offers a daily rate of £130 - £240, with the school day starting at 8 am until the end of the school day. The position may lead to a permanent contract after one year.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans that meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Create a learning environment that is engaging, safe, and supportive.
  • Employ a variety of educational techniques (e.g., stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities) to teach children.
  • Observe, assess, and record each student’s progress, and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as learning mentors, careers advisers, educational psychologists, and education welfare officers.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with SEN students.
  • Strong understanding of the UK SEN curriculum and the specific needs of SEN students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, stamina, patience, dedication, resilience and self-discipline.
  • Initiative, leadership and supervisory skills and teamworking abilities.
  • Imagination, creativity and a sense of humour.
