Job Title: Stone Mason - Platform Paving

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Stone Mason to join our team for a project involving platform paving at a train station. As a Stone Mason, you will be responsible for laying and finishing paving stones to enhance the aesthetics and functionality of the station platform.

Responsibilities:

• Lay paving stones according to design specifications and project requirements.
• Ensure precise cutting, shaping, and fitting of stones to create a seamless and visually appealing surface.
• Work with various types of stone materials, including granite, limestone, and slate.
• Operate machinery and tools such as saws, chisels, and grinders safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with other construction team members to coordinate work activities and achieve project milestones.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements:

• Valid CSCS card.
• Proven experience as a Stone Mason, with expertise in platform paving or similar projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in stone masonry.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
