Sustainability Manager

Venn Group are working with a major London University to secure the services of a Sustainability Manager.

Salary: £60,000-£70,000 depending on experience

Duration: 12-month FTC (Maternity Cover)

Location: London (hybrid)

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Energy reduction projects going on across campus - helping to achieve the University's net-zero by 2030 target
  • Active energy management, working with the service provider onsite to optimise efficiency
  • Monitoring the university’s performance in respect of its carbon footprint, report on KPI’s, produce monthly dashboard and monthly report
  • Supporting and coordinating the procurement of energy and utilities; managing utilities contracts
  • Ensuring all sustainability policies publicly available are up to date, along with sustainability web-pages in order to maintain People & Planet score
  • Overseeing their Green Impact programme
  • Managing systems and processes for recording, monitoring and managing utilities consumption and costs; manage associated budgets and budget planning;
  • Undertaking environmental audits and present reports, namely waste audits
  • Supporting the Head of Operations in the procurement and supply of utilities; manage associated contracts and develop effective monitoring/reporting systems.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in planning and managing effective communications to promote sustainability
  • Strong stakeholder engagement
