Overview:

Hardman Grey Recruitment are currently seeking a Tool Maker/CNC Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will have both manufacturing and design experience and report to the engineering manager. 

The Tool Maker/ CNC Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:


  • The continuous improvement and evaluation of processes used
  • 3D CAD design and CAD/ CAM Manufacturing

  • Research and development

  • The design and manufacture of jigs, fixtures and tools on both CNC and manual machining equipment

  • Maintenance of the existing plant, tooling and equipment

  • Assisting with the development of new plant and equipment

  • Programming of purpose made CNC machines (forging, milling, grinding and cutting machines)


The ideal Tool Maker/ CNC Manufacturing Engineer candidate will have:


  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Managing multiple projects 

  • Experience with manufacturing and engineering processes, tools, techniques and product development

  • Strong communication skills

  • Knowledge of 3D CAD/CAM or Fusion 360 or willingness to learn

  • CNC programming, setting and operating skills
