About the Role
City Social, the acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurant located on Level 24 of Tower 42 in London, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Waiter/Waitress to lead our front-of-house team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and guest satisfaction, contributing to the overall success of our establishment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and runners, to maintain efficient and attentive service standards.
- Lead by example, providing guidance and support to team members to ensure smooth service operations and a positive guest experience.
- Assist in training new staff members, imparting knowledge of menu items, service procedures, and customer service standards.
- Oversee table assignments, reservations, and seating arrangements, optimising guest flow and maximising table turnover.
- Anticipate guest needs and preferences, providing personalised recommendations and ensuring prompt and courteous service at all times.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and tact, seeking to resolve issues to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to coordinate food and beverage service, ensuring accurate order delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming dining environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Head Waiter/Waitress or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hospitality establishment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities, with a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Detail-oriented and well-organised, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of fine dining etiquette, wine service, and menu offerings is advantageous.
