Key Responsibilities

As a Full-time Waiter/Waitress at Pollen Street Social, your role transcends conventional service duties. In addition to core responsibilities, we expect you to undertake supplementary tasks that enhance the refinement of our dining experience.

These Responsibilities Encompass

  • Maintaining current knowledge of our dynamic seasonal menu and ingredient sourcing. Offer comprehensive insights into each dish, detailing preparation techniques and the provenance of key components.
  • Playing an integral role in the orientation of new waitstaff, imparting your profound understanding of service standards, etiquette, and the distinctive hospitality ethos synonymous with Pollen Street Social.
  • Serving as a conduit for soliciting guest feedback and recommendations, facilitating their interaction with the management team to continuously elevate our service and offerings.
  • Assisting in the setup and breakdown of dining areas, ensuring impeccable presentation and cleanliness standards are upheld.
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure seamless coordination between front and back-of-house operations, guaranteeing prompt and efficient service delivery.
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of allergens and dietary restrictions, offering tailored recommendations and alternatives to accommodate guest preferences.
  • Actively engaging with guests to anticipate their needs, providing personalised service to enhance their overall dining experience.
  • Participating in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay abreast of new procedures, menu updates, and service enhancements.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Substantial prior experience in a similar capacity within an esteemed restaurant, ideally at Multi Rosette or Michelin Star level.
  • A profound comprehension of exemplary guest service, consistently surpassing expectations.
  • A warm yet professional disposition.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, effortlessly forging connections with guests.
  • Thorough knowledge of gastronomy and beverages.
  • Great time management proficiencies.
