Are you a motivated and skilled Warehouse Operative seeking an exciting opportunity to work with our client, a global rolling stock manufacturer and overhaul specialist? If you have experience in inventory management, warehouse stock moving, and are comfortable operating a Fork Lift Truck, then we have the perfect role for you! Join our client's team as a Stores Operative and make an impact in ensuring the smooth flow of materials through their logistics centre.
?? Role Overview:
As a Stores Operative, you will play a crucial role in supporting the maintenance team and ensuring the efficient handling of materials used in the operation. This includes proper logging, storage, and despatch of materials while utilising electronic stock management systems. Excitingly, you will also have the opportunity to assist in warehouse tasks alongside your FLT responsibilities.
?? Main Responsibilities:
Utilise stock management systems for accurate stock controlReceive, despatch, inspect, and issue materialsUpdate order/materials databasesAssist technical staff in material identification and raising order requestsAssemble and pack materials/goods according to logistical demandsCarefully load and unload trucks, ensuring goods are moved and stored without damagePerform checks on handling equipment and take corrective action if neededRegularly inspect storage facilities and maintain optimal storage conditionsCoordinate transportation of materials through authorised accountsFoster strong customer relationships and explore future business opportunitiesImplement and comply with health, safety, and compliance policies
?? Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
Warehouse and/or logistical experienceFork Lift Licence (Reach/counterbalance)Strong written and oral communication skillsGood level of computer literacyExcellent organisational and time management skills
Preferred:
Driving LicencePrevious experience in a Stores roleBasic engineering knowledge
