Do you have a passion for construction and a talent for crafting compelling proposals?
We are a reputable main contractor based in South West London with a turnover of 20 million. We are seeking a highly motivated Bid Writer to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in securing new construction projects.
Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research tender opportunities that align with our company's expertise and target market.
  • Develop clear and concise bid documents, including technical proposals, method statements, and pricing schedules.
  • Liaise with internal teams (estimating, design, operations) to gather necessary project information and ensure all bid requirements are met.
  • Manage the bid writing process from start to finish, adhering to deadlines and ensuring high-quality submissions.
  • Work collaboratively with the Business Development Manager to understand client needs and tailor proposals accordingly.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of our bid library and templates.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, construction best practices, and tendering regulations.


Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in bid writing for the construction sector.
  • A strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and tender documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using bid management software a plus.
  • A meticulous and detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
