We are a reputable main contractor based in South West London with a turnover of 20 million. We are seeking a highly motivated Bid Writer to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in securing new construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and research tender opportunities that align with our company's expertise and target market.
- Develop clear and concise bid documents, including technical proposals, method statements, and pricing schedules.
- Liaise with internal teams (estimating, design, operations) to gather necessary project information and ensure all bid requirements are met.
- Manage the bid writing process from start to finish, adhering to deadlines and ensuring high-quality submissions.
- Work collaboratively with the Business Development Manager to understand client needs and tailor proposals accordingly.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our bid library and templates.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, construction best practices, and tendering regulations.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in bid writing for the construction sector.
- A strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and tender documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using bid management software a plus.
- A meticulous and detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
