Are you seeking your next supervisor role within an exciting Rail environment?

If so, our client is seeking an Operations Supervisor to ensure safe rail depot and site management during operational hours. You'll support customer service delivery in line with company procedures and site users.

Role Responsibilities for Operations Supervisor;

'' Manage the Operations team for safe and smooth site operations, following local procedures

'' Lead daily and weekly operational meetings to optimize workforce and workload

'' Use visual tools to report and communicate operational performance and escalate issues

'' Conduct site safety inspections and report through Safety Management System

'' Optimize resource capability and manage absence/sickness policy

'' Plan all site operational activities to meet customer requirements

'' Record operational activities for safety and traceability of vehicle movement.

'' Support business in preparing for planned events, meeting contractual obligations

Skills and Experience for Operations Supervisor;

• Extensive experience in rolling stock shunting operations
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques is advantageous
• Excellent knowledge of safe systems of work for railway depot/yard operations
• Working knowledge of passenger and freight rolling stock systems
• Good general understanding of rail traction and safety systems
• Excellent operational skills
• Good communication skills

 Qualifications for Operations Supervisor;

'' previous experience in driving and shunting passenger and freight stock

'' Extensive knowledge in basic rolling stock maintenance

'' Competent in fort lift truck operation and crane operations

'' Must have driving licence for motor vehicles
