As a Teacher of Design & Technology at Longfield Academy, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and dynamic lessons that ignite students' curiosity and passion for innovation. Through hands-on projects, real-world challenges, and cutting-edge technologies, you will empower students to explore the exciting intersections of design, engineering, and entrepreneurship.

The Leigh Academies Trust is one of the country’s largest and most established multi-academy trusts operating across Kent, Medway and South-East London. It contains Primary, Secondary and Special academies and is highly inclusive and successful. Responsibilities

  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Plan and teach well structured lessons
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
  • Fulfil wider professional responsibilities

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a qualified Design & Technology teacher is essential
  • Must hold QTS
  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK
  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to process one
  • Must be able to provide a minimum of 2 references and cover the last 2 years of employment
