Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electronic circuits (analog and digital), including microcontroller development and embedded firmware development (C).
- Create schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout using Altium Designer or equivalent software.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure designs meet specifications.
- Produce technical and assembly drawings of PCBAs and mechanical sub-assemblies.
- Prototype construction and testing, specification of test and manufacturing procedures for new products.
Key Requirements and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electronics.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial electronics design and development.
- Proficiency in microcontroller development (ARM, PIC, etc.) and embedded firmware development (C).
- Strong knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer or equivalent.
- Experience liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure designs meet specifications.
- Proficient in prototype construction, testing, and specification of test and manufacturing procedures.
- Desirable: Experience with embedded development using RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr OS), nRF or STM32 Microcontrollers, computer programming/scripting (e.g., C#, Java, Python), Altium Designer, and designing for EMC and electrical safety.
