Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week, 8.30am to 5pm, 30 mins lunchThe OpportunityA family business with traditions going way back, this is a super opportunity that will suit a budding HR professional seeking a role that brings with it autonomy and responsibility in working with a Senior Leadership team and Board of Directors. A stand-alone position with a broad remit with both Operational and Commercial exposure.The RoleReporting to the Managing Director, the HR Advisor is positioned as an integral part of the operations team. Required is somebody for a generalist, hands on and operational role supporting the more immediate needs of the business in the provision for guidance and expertise in people & process management, employee relations and engagement projects.

You’ll be partnering with the wider business, delivering on key drivers, ensuring compliance, policy and procedure is adhered to at all times. In addition, you’ll be supporting employees and managers in delivering on expected performance, behaviour and all things culture.

There’s plenty to get your teeth into. Disciplinaries, Grievances, Absence Management, Investigations, Recruitment, Onboarding / Off Boarding, Reward and Benefits, Process improvement, People Development. The CandidateYou’ll be already operating at some degree in an Advisory capacity in a Generalist role. This is a manufacturing business and although blue collar experience isn’t essential. You’ll need to be well versed in leading on basic disciplinaries and grievances. You will have back up for the more complex stuff if required. You’ll be confident in not only your ability to work with people at all levels, but also your attention to detail in reporting, administration, procedure adherence and data management. You’ll also be a confident speaker as from time to time, you’ll be presenting on key deliverables to the Board and SLT.

If you’ve already got experience in engagement projects and culture development, this would be a bonus.

Finally, we’d like you to have already made some headway into your CIPD, preferably Level 5 but Level 3 considered pending experience.
