The Company:ER Recruitment are excited to be working with our client who are gaining prominence and success within the construction industry. They are specialists in bespoke commercial interior refurbishments.The successful Quantity Surveyor candidate will work closely with the MD, and will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial and budgeting across sites.Role & Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:

  • Maintain all cost control procedures, and working within the guidelines set out within the policies and procedures
  • Be responsible for the compilation of all weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required. Be aware of new materials and methods of construction which the company may employ
  • Be responsible for all cost control procedures, including managing and controlling the budget and valuations by always updating the estimated final costs, and having the ability to show absolute cost and value reconciliation
  • Contribute to the conceptual designs/options to ensure the design is kept within the budgeted values
  • Maintain budget control throughout development; and manage cost overruns within contingency levels
  • Complete accurate costing for each aspect of site development
  • Analyse and report on costs and cash flow using the support systems available
  • Be aware of new materials and methods of construction which the business may employ
  • Attend all project and team meetings as required keeping the Managing Director up to date.

About You as the Quantity Surveyor:

  • Must have minimum 4 years’ experience (post graduate) as a Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in quoting/estimating
  • Ideally an up-to-date CSCS card
  • Experience using COINS would be desirable
  • Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to report regularly to the Managing Directors on projects.
