The Company

My client is a leading Main / Principle Interiors Contractor, providing products and services to create high end luxury interior environments. They focus on winning complex and interesting projects covering all aspects of construction, major structural adaptations, cut & carves extensions before refurbishing and fitting out to the very highest of standards.

The Quantity Surveyor Role:

They are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team to deliver complex refurbishment and interior fit-out projects, to an exclusive clientele, throughout the UK.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

·Taking responsibility for all financial procedures, leading our valuations process, developing initial budgets and agreeing a detailed cost plan

·Suggesting contractors, systems and manufacturers for team appraisals as well advising on product selection, specifications and sub-contractors

·Advising clients on different procurement routes

·Preparing and monitoring our bid package tender schedule, and overseeing the information flow to and from fit out

·Participating in meetings with the design team and our sub-contractors

·Liaising with our accounts team on everything from client invoices through to final account reconciliations and retention release

·Managing the change process throughout a project, and feeding back to contractors upon completion

The Successful Senior Quantity Surveyor

·Experience in the majority of the above roles & responsibilities

·Degree qualified or Higher National equivalent

·5 – 10 years full time experience in a surveying role with a leading reputable main / principle contractor

·In-depth knowledge of the construction process including both new build and fit-out / refurbishment

·Good Understanding of JCT forms of contract & Contract law

·Good knowledge and understanding of Word and Excel packages

·Good verbal and written communication skills
