Logistics Coordinator

Loughton, Essex

35,000 per annum

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm

Our client, a well-established and award-winning organisation is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and a passion for managing complex logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and approve transport invoices for both exports and imports
  • Manage goods-in processes, including updating stock systems and coordinating with accounts
  • Maintain schedules and calendars for all stock movements
  • Verify supplier documentation against purchase contracts and liaise with accounts for clearance
  • Execute import clearances and resolve any issues to ensure timely delivery
  • Coordinate with internal and external warehouses to book and track deliveries
  • Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders and agents to secure competitive rates
  • Create export documentation and organise cost-effective freight solutions
  • Monitor container and truck movements using tracking systems
  • Support the contracts team with ad-hoc tasks and cost analysis

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in logistics coordination or supply chain management
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Proficient in using stock management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Effective communicator with the ability to liaise across departments and with external partners
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
