Facilities Assistant - Immediate start Lowestoft

We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to join our community-focused team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our community centre, providing a welcoming environment for the public and users, and maintaining the safety and functionality of the facility.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Greet and assist the public and users as they arrive at the community centre who are attending for training sessions, first aid courses or health checks, eg, diabetic eye clinic, etc
  • Prepare and set up rooms with tables and chairs for various activities and events according to the schedule.
  • Preparing tea and coffee stations for
  • Conduct regular site checks to ensure the safety and readiness of the facility.
  • Respond to any immediate maintenance or cleanliness issues within the centre.
  • Provide general support and assistance to the centre’s staff and visitors.
  • Ensure all areas are tidy and presentable at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Immediate availability to cover sickness absence.
