About the role:

There are 4 Youth Worker/ Personal Development Coach positions available.

Post 1:Youth Worker/ Personal Development Coach(West Suffolk)

Post 2:Youth Worker/ Personal Development Coach(Mid Suffolk & Babergh)

Post 3: Youth Worker/ Personal Development Coach (East Suffolk)

Post 4: Youth Worker/ Personal Development Coach (East Suffolk)

The role will be working remotely in the relevant area, and you will be expected to come into the nearest venue, either Ipswich, Hadleigh (Suffolk) or Lowestoft 1 day a week.

The key duties include:

  • Project coordination – identify and engage young people from across the country to participate in the personal development service.
  • Engagement and Participation – tailor support plans for participants building essential skills regarding employability, engagement, and education.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create opportunities for young people in the programme.
  • Monitor and evaluate participant progress using data driven insights to improve services.
  • Provide 1-1 support and group workshops to equip participants with necessary skills to for employment and education.  

About you:

The ideal Youth Worker/ Personal Development Coach will have previous experience in supporting youth aged 19-24 to reach their full potential, especially those facing significant barriers, with individualised and successful interventions is essential for this role. It is essential that you have previous experience in recruitment or youth work, delivering employability skills, and experience in data entry. A good standard of education is required including GCSE grade A-C in English. Along with this, holding an Enhanced DBS Certificate, and a Full UK Driving License with access to a vehicle is essential. Have strong organisational skills, be self-motivated and have a willingness to work outside of normal office hours when required.
