GI Pro are recruiting for a CAD Technician on a permanent basis for our Luton based client

Working days (with flexi start time)

Paying £35k - £40k

The client - Point of Sale display and stands manufacturer

The role: CAD Technician

• Create drawings using AutoCAD for the production team to manufacture from
• Assisting the Production Director and Project Manager in managing orders of materials and specialist stand elements.
• Support with the labour scheduling may also be required.
• Creating detailed and accurate floorplans, graphic elevation plans, on-site service plans and full build instructions and elevations for custom/bespoke exhibition and modular/system stands
• To calculate and order relevant build materials and components
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of drawings to comply with project requirements
• Assist in document controlling

Essential Experience and Skills:

• Professional CAD design experience with a background in carpentry / joinery
• Exhibition experience would be an advantage and a good knowledge of manufacture within a workshop environment
• 3D CAD and technical drawing skills in (knowledge of a 3D modelling software such as 3D Studio Max would be an advantage)
• Trade show specific design experience/Modular exhibition system
• Ability to support in other areas if required
