My client, a leading distributor in their field is looking for a proactive office-based Sales Account Manager, to join their strong, dynamic, and fun sales team, based in Stopsley, Luton, Beds.

Location: Office based, LU2 8DL

Hours: 8.30am - 5.00pm

Salary: Excellent basic plus bonus and company benefits

This Sales Account Manager role is an excellent opportunity to use your B2B sales, account management, customer service and communication skills within a successful, fast-growing company with plenty of career growth opportunity.

You will be given full product and technical training to give you the confidence to provide customers with account management and consultative technical sales and hit / exceed the sales targets each month.

Main Duties

  • Identify opportunities with new and existing customers
  • Proactively target these prospects with a detailed plan
  • Proactively build relationships with new and existing customers to become their key account manager
  • Respond to email/phone enquiries, ensuring customers are quoted and orders processed by the Sales Support Team
  • Create a daily outbound proactive call plan
  • Create detailed proposal documents and present appropriately to 'make the sale’
  • Where required provide support in quoting teams from other teams
  • Challenge objections to convert your quotes
  • Actively look for ways to grow the business
  • Advice customers on forthcoming product developments and promotions
  • Maintain clear up to date customer records on CRM
  • Visits to main customers may be required
  • Represent the company at exhibitions/events/demonstrations as and when required
  • Manage your workload in a proactive way to achieve KPIs
  • Other reasonable tasks as requested

Candidate Profile

  • Previous internal telesales selling into electrical wholesalers or similar would be ideal but not essential
  • Experience of selling electrical components or accessories would be advantageous
  • Strong B2B distribution sales experience
  • Proactive account management experience essential
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • Enjoys working to sales targets and goals
  • Good all-round IT skills and CRM system experience
