We are looking for 2Steel Fixers for an 4-6week assignment to help build a number of small-medium structures on a site near Luton.Project starts 13thMay & you will need to commit for the entire time.
If all goes well, there is another project to go onto at other sites.
Pay Rate:220 - 240 a day
Hours:7.30am- 5.30pm
Location:Luton
Duration:4-6 weeks
Job Role:
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the required layout and dimensions of rebar.
- Cut and shape steel using tools such as pliers, wire cutters, and rebar benders.
- Place steel in the correct position and secure it using wire or plastic ties.
- Weld or bolt rebar pieces together as required.
- Assist shuttering carpenters with form work or pouring concrete depending on the site size and staffing
- Ensure that all rebar is installed to the required standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with the construction team to ensure that the project is completed on time and to the required quality standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Must possess CSCS card
- Strong knowledge of rebar installation techniques and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physically fit and able to work in a construction environment.
