Health & Safety Advisor

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Advisoron a permanentbasis, to be located in Macclesfield.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the project management teams in Project H&S requirements and objectives
• Support and advise Project delivery teams on planning and implementation of H&S Management system, strategy and objectives
• Provide H&S support and advice to the projects to ensure a structured risk based approach
• Conduct site audits and inspections and ensure these are also undertaken by the project management team and supervision
• Liaise with customer H&S representatives and attend meetings/forums as required
• Ensure, assist and support the investigation of accidents, incidents and near miss events to determine route causes and preventative measures to prevent re-occurrence
• Facilitate H&S specific training and awareness programmes
• Assist and/or lead (where required) external H&S audits
• Provide input to the development of the following
• H&S Management Systems, Processes and 45001 accreditation
• External award programmes e.g RoSPA, ECIA etc.
