We are looking for a Live-in Personal Care Assistant to join our existing care team to support a young university student based in the Macclesfield area living at the family home but in a separate independent annexe. You will work on a rolling rota basis as an example 1 week on, 1 week off, but some flexibility will be required to meet any unexpected demands due to holidays or sickness within the team.


Salary & Benefits:

- Start Date: ASAP

- Location: Macclesfield (SK10)

- Rate of Pay: £13 p/h & £180 per day for a 24h waking nights – Earn between £750 and £1,000 per week!

- Hours: 1 Week on/1 Week off, with 2 allocated waking nights & breaks

- Accommodation provided whilst on shift

- Holiday Entitlement: 5.6 weeks (pro rata)

- Pension: Eligibility for NEST Pension Scheme


You must hold a UK driving licence to be considered for this role


About the Client:

Our client is a part-time history student at the University of Manchester, aged 23, living with Cerebral Palsy. He relies on a wheelchair for mobility and is passionate about modern history and politics. This role provides an opportunity to join his team of Personal Assistants, contributing to his independent and fulfilling life.


About the Job:

As part of the team, you will be expected to deliver high-quality care, whilst supporting all aspects of daily living needs. A caring and compassionate nature, with a desire to help others, is a must! The work can be varied and no two days will be the same, but as a general guide, you will provide support with personal care needs, medication, facilitating exercise stretches daily to assist with maintaining a good posture, shopping, meal preparation, social engagements, light domestic work, weekly stock take and ordering of supplies, accompanying to and from and assisting with care needs whilst at university or just enjoying a chat over a coffee!!

A flexible approach and willingness to assist with household chores will be required for this role. Other responsibilities will include light cooking, washing and ironing clothes and cleaning/tidying the annexed accommodation. You will be required to attend during the night, should you be called for assistance.

You will need to be comfortable around dogs and be prepared to take the family dog, a cockerpoo, on walks together with this young man. Willing to travel as part of a team on short holiday breaks, (expenses covered). You must be energetic, proactive and engaging with a genuine interest and desire to help others achieve their maximum potential. A positive can-do attitude with a team player mentality. Must have excellent communication skills and good organisational skills to ensure the smooth running of the day. Discretion and respect are required whilst working within the family home.


About You:

To excel in this role, you should:

- Have strong team leadership experience, whether you worked in a care home, supported living homes or similar care environment (Essential)

- Hold a full or Automatic, clean UK driving license for responsibility over the client's adapted vehicle.

- Be motivated, organized, and an excellent communicator.

- Exhibit a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and confidence in working independently.

- Communicate fluently in English and maintain a professional appearance.

- Have a calm, patient, compassionate disposition with a good sense of humour.

- Looking for a permanent position, offering stability and long-term prospects.

- Non-smoker
