Marine Engineer required for my client based near to Maidenhead, Berkshire.
The marine engineering company are looking for a marine engineer with river mechanic experience, to perform mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance to boats, engines and associated equipment, on and off site.
Reporting to the Marine Engineer - Supervisor.
Marine Engineer Position Overview
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs to boats, engines and associated equipment.
- Order replacement parts, consult and review schematics.
- Determine causes of operating problems.
- To service and repair marine engines and associated mechanical equipment in customers boats.
- To service and repair industrial engines.
- The service and repair of on-board auxiliary systems.
- To pressure wash & cleaning hulls and topsides of customers' boats.
- Assisting with the craning of boats into and out of the water.
- Maintain familiarity with current product lines and features.
Marine Engineer Position Requirements
- Previous mechanical engineering experience essential.
- Previous marine experience is an advantage.
- Previous river mechanics experience.
- Based within a commutable distance of Maidenhead, Berkshire.
- Full UK driving licence essential.
- Volvo Penta approval is very beneficial.
Marine Engineer Position Remuneration
- Salary - £32,000 to £36,000 - dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications.
- Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
- Holiday package - 20 days plus bank holidays.
