Construction Manager Opportunity with a Tier 1 Contractor working in the water & civil engineering sector
The position will be based near Maidstone
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right Construction Manager
Responsibilities of the Construction Manager role
- Build and maintain project/site teams
- Ensure site management teams produce accurate weekly and monthly site returns
- Support commercial team t
- Manage subcontract packages,
- Build effective relationships with the supply chain.
- Monitor & support the delivery team
- Ensure site operations comply with environmental legislation
- Ensure project managers produce and maintain detailed construction programmes
- Provide information to enable the project programmer to update the master project
- Monitor resource
- Review and update commercial forecast
- Review the buildability of designs
- Develop and review construction methodologies .
- Lead integration of Civils and Earthworks scopes on site
- Develop effective relationships with the client
- Assist in the production of monthly progress reports for client
Role Requirements of the Construction Manager
- Ideally you have worked on a water or wastewater treatment works project. Otherwise a good background on civil engineering projects
- Health, Safety and Environmental Management (IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate
- Recognised Civil Engineering/Site Management degree
- Previous Construction Management experience on large scale projects
