Construction Manager Opportunity with a Tier 1 Contractor working in the water & civil engineering sector

The position will be based near Maidstone

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right Construction Manager

Responsibilities of the Construction Manager role

  • Build and maintain project/site teams
  • Ensure site management teams produce accurate weekly and monthly site returns
  • Support commercial team t
  • Manage subcontract packages,
  • Build effective relationships with the supply chain.
  • Monitor & support the delivery team
  • Ensure site operations comply with environmental legislation
  • Ensure project managers produce and maintain detailed construction programmes
  • Provide information to enable the project programmer to update the master project
  • Monitor resource
  • Review and update commercial forecast
  • Review the buildability of designs
  • Develop and review construction methodologies .
  • Lead integration of Civils and Earthworks scopes on site
  • Develop effective relationships with the client
  • Assist in the production of monthly progress reports for client

Role Requirements of the Construction Manager

  • Ideally you have worked on a water or wastewater treatment works project. Otherwise a good background on civil engineering projects
  • Health, Safety and Environmental Management (IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate
  • Recognised Civil Engineering/Site Management degree
  • Previous Construction Management experience on large scale projects

  • Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way
  • Must be customer focused by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs
