Role Description: As a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our projects and programs with commercial aspects. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

    • Prepare accurate cost estimates for fire protection projects.
    • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project budgets.
  2. Procurement and Contract Management:

    • Source materials and subcontractors.
    • Negotiate contracts and manage subcontractor agreements.
  3. Project Cost Control:

    • Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend adjustments as needed.
  4. Variations and Claims:

    • Assess variations and claims related to project changes.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to resolve any disputes.
  5. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of project costs, invoices, and payments.
    • Generate regular reports for management.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in surveying, preferably with passive fire protection knowledge.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
    • Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Excel, project management software).
