Business Development Executive      My client is a rapidly expanding company based in the UK with an office in the US, with ambitious growth plans.  We are looking for a driven Business Development Executive to work as part of the sales team, and drive new business growth within the different sectors we work across, by qualifying leads for the sales department. The Business Development Executive, will work to penetrate key market areas and support the sales, marketing and product development teams. They will deliver a targeted approach to generate interest in the company's products and services. Some travel will be expected. Key Responsibilities
  • Understanding company products and services to ensure targeted promotional material to present to potential customers.
  • Work closely with the marketing and sales department to establish key markets and to find prospective customers within these markets.
  • Support the sales team with analysis of market sectors and forecasting
  • Research new market opportunities, analyse and track
  • To collect and analyse potential sales opportunities from various sources including Dot Digital mailing systems.
  • To contact and build a rapport with potential customers.
  • To generate and qualify new business leads
  • Build upon, improve and manage CRM on the current SAP Business One management software.
Qualifications and experience:Essential:
  • Good Business acumen and a can-do attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Confident on the phone and in person with both suppliers and end users
  • A positive approach to objections.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Proficiency in research and analysis of incoming data.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage projects effectively.
  • Pro-active, highly organised and show excellent attention to detail. With a confident and flexible approach.
  • Ability to communicate and work well with internal teams
  • At least 5 GCSE A-C Grades including maths and English or equivalent
  • A genuine interest in Science or Technology
  • Strong working knowledge of the MS office Suite
Desirable:
  • Business Development background
  • Prior sales prospecting experience
  • Technical experience on optical components (training will be given if needed)
  • SAP Business One experience advantageous (training will be given if needed)
