Logistics Coordinator / Full time – permanent /Maidstone / up to £38,000My client, a leader in the supply of fundamental solutions to the logistics industry, are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team. As a Logistics Coordinator in this role, you will be a key part of the shipping and operations team ensuring that the entire process is overseen efficiently and runs smoothly. You should have experience in a role that includes multimodal transport planning ideally within air, sea and road logistics. As a Logistics Coordinator in this role you should also be confident with systems, data handling and reporting.Role and responsibilities:
Identify inventory shortages and ensure a solution is found to ensure correct availability
Complete the entire shipment process from booking to invoicing
Ensure stakeholders are kept informed and up to date with any changes to shipments such as customers delay, proof of delivery and additional feels
Maintain a good relationship with service providers
Ensure shipping paperwork is created and approved in a timely manner
Liase with overseas teams in relation to delivery of goods
Enhance customer service standards by ensuring the shipping SLA’s are met
Maintain compliant and up to date with industry standards and company policies
Understand and familiarise yourself with products and services on offer
Essential Skills:
Previous experience in a logistics coordinator role or similar
You should have experience in a position that uses multiple modes of transport
Strong attention to detail
Good communication skills with a proactive approach
The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders in the business
You should be familiar with industry standards within logistics
Package:
£34,000 - £38,000 basic salary
