Part-Time Humanities Teacher Position

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Humanities Teacher, you will inspire and educate students in the fields of history, geography, literature, and social studies. Your role will be crucial in fostering critical thinking, cultural awareness, and a love for learning.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and execute dynamic lessons that encourage student participation and promote a deep understanding of humanities subjects.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the humanities curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and exams. Provide constructive feedback to help students improve.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Student Support: Offer additional support to students who need it, whether through tutoring or personalized guidance.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed about educational trends, attend workshops, and continuously improve your teaching skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience teaching humanities subjects at the secondary level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for fostering intellectual curiosity and critical thinking.
Additional Information
  • Contract Type: Part-time (2 days per week) on a supply basis.
  • Start Date: Immediate.
  • Location: Maidstone
