Graduate Finance Assistant | Maidstone | £24-26K

We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Finance Assistant to join a dynamic finance team in a fast-paced and commercial environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting or finance graduate looking to build their transactional finance experience and gain exposure to both UK and international processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input sales invoices from a wide range of customers and allocate incoming payments accordingly.
  • Raise quarterly intercompany invoices and maintain an up-to-date monthly debtors report.
  • Chase overdue debts and identify the root causes of non-payment, taking proactive steps toward resolution.
  • Liaise with external sales agents to investigate and resolve payment queries.
  • Prepare export invoices in line with HMRC regulations, ensuring full compliance.
  • Support the wider finance function with ad hoc administrative and analytical tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (minimum 2:1 preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to problem-solve and investigate discrepancies.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build rapport with both internal stakeholders and external agents.
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and capable of working to deadlines.
  • Some previous finance experience (e.g. placement year or internship) is desirable but not essential.
