Overview:
A well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Chelmsford is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Senior to join its growing team. Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of year-end accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Preparation of management accounts and financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Review of bookkeeping and VAT returns prepared by junior staff.
- Liaising directly with clients to provide advice and resolve queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assisting with the training and mentoring of junior team members.
- Supporting the partners with ad hoc projects and client work as required.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and internal procedures.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (qualified by experience will also be considered).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
