Laboratory Technician

I am working on behalf of my client to recruit a Laboratory Technician into their site in the Greater Manchester area. As Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for assisting the development of products within the polymers industry: coatings, inks, pigments. You will also be responsible for conducting tests on materials and end products.

To be considered for this Laboratory Technician position you will be degree educated in Chemistry or a relevant field – focus on Polymer Chemistry would be preferred. You will also have previous experience within laboratory environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the formulation of new and existing products.
  • Conduct tests on materials and analyse data.
  • Oversee QC in the laboratory.
  • Work alongside customers to provide solutions to any issues.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols.

Experience/Background:

  • Degree educated in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Experience in laboratory environments.
  • Previous experience working within the polymers industry is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of regulations and safety measures.
