Position Overview: The Sales Manager is responsible for cultivating and closing new logos/relationships, specifically SaaS software Suite of products and services for Food manufacturing, Food Service, and Supplement Manufacturing market. The Sales Manager is responsible for the team’s production of new pipeline and efficiently moving prospective customers through the opportunity stages to a successful close. The Sales Manager is also responsible for developing and fostering strong positive relationships with prospects and customers and serving as a good representative for the company. The role ultimately will drive the success of the company's new bookings goals and objectives through achieving individual sales quotas in designated territories.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of sales professionals

  • Prospect, research, and connect with potential customers 

  • Create and manage prospecting campaigns with touch points and follow up to maximise pipeline creation 

  • Present and sell company products and services to prospects 

  • Follow through on inbound sales leads to successful conversion, following outlined steps 

  • Grow customer base by acquiring new clients 

  • Reach agreed upon sales targets 

  • Uncover and overcome customer objections 

  • Demonstrate software to interested parties 

  • Complete tasks as assigned in a timely manner

  • Relentless follow up on prospects, leads, and opportunities is a must

  • Experience and proficiency in Salesforce, Salesloft, and Zoominfo preferred 

Skills and Experience

  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills 

  • Prospecting experience selling software into new markets 

  • Process oriented and very organised

  • Experience utilising technology to prospect effectively (ie. Linkedin, Zoominfo, Salesloft

  • Strong negotiation and relationship skills to build credibility with buyers 

  • Work effectively within Sales Team 

  • Deadline and detail-oriented 

  • Ability to work productively in a remote environment 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 5 plus years' experience in software sales or related food industry experience 

How to Stand Out

  • Experience using Genesis R&D and FoodLogiQ

  • Background in food & beverage, nutrition, regulatory compliance, food safety and/or related industry 

  • Track record of success creating/closing new business opportunities to meet or exceed quota 

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM software

  • Knowledge of SaaS software sales and APIs
