About the role:

Our client, a leading international consultancy, is expanding its North West team and seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join their dynamic group.

Key Responsibilities of the Building Surveyor:

  • Provide advice on repairs, maintenance, and improvements for both residential and commercial properties.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes, health and safety standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough building inspections, identifying and assessing the condition of structures.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommend solutions for any identified issues or defects.
  • Assist in managing the design and implementation of building projects.
  • Collaborate with other professionals such as architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements of the Building Surveyor:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction techniques, and health and safety standards.
  • Experience in surveying commercial properties.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Ideally, you will have or be working towards MRICS (Chartered status) but this is not essential.
