The Company
Our client specialises in urban residential construction and due to their continued success and a very strong pipeline of new projects they are looking to strengthen their team and appoint a Commercial Director with proven experience in delivering challenging projects with developers.

Our client is committed to establishing long-term relationships and delivering customer-focused solutions and you will play a key role in defining, designing and managing projects that will ensure the continued success of this established construction firm.

The Role
With a proven background in quantity surveying, cost and commercial management, you will be responsible for leading a small team across all commercial aspects of existing projects and pipeline including quantity surveying, estimation, procurement and contract management.

As a key member of the team working directly for the Managing Director, the Commercial Director will play a pivotal role in automating efficiencies and ensure the successful delivery of construction projects with the highest of quality standards.

Working directly with developers, you will provide leadership and guidance for all commercial and financial aspects related to construction projects.

The Candidate
With a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management and ideally MRICS qualified, you will possess proven experience in a similar role where you have led a team of quantity surveyors working in the urban residential market.

You will possess strong contract management skills with knowledge of NEC / JCT and bespoke forms of contracts alongside strong Health and Safety awareness and understanding of general construction management principles, legislation and regulations.
