Our client is a leading provider of electrical and mechanical engineering services and has a history of delivering high-quality solutions to clients in various industries. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Document Controller to join their team on a high profile renovation building services project at Manchester airports T2.

Job Description:

As a Document Controller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of project-related documents. You will be responsible for organizing, storing, and managing various types of documents, ensuring that they are easily accessible to the project team and other stakeholders. Your meticulous record-keeping and document management skills will be essential to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Document Management:
Create, manage, and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, correspondence, and other relevant files.
Ensure proper version control, naming conventions, and file structure to maintain document organization.
Implement document control procedures and best practices.
Document Retrieval:
Assist project teams and other stakeholders in locating and retrieving documents in a timely and efficient manner.
Monitor and track document requests, maintaining accurate records of document transactions.
Quality Assurance:
Review documents for completeness and accuracy, highlighting discrepancies and ensuring compliance with project standards.
Notify project team members of any document-related issues and collaborate to resolve them.
Communication:
Act as a central point of contact for document-related inquiries.
Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure document requirements are met.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and client-specific document control requirements.
Software Proficiency:
Utilize document control software and tools to manage and track project documents.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar document control role, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
Proficiency in document control software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of industry-specific document control best practices is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
