Teaching Assistant for ASC Provision - Trafford

Tradewind Manchester are supporting a three-form entry primary school based in Old Trafford to recruit an experienced teaching assistant to work in their resource provision. It is a temporary position starting in September 2025 but could lead to a permanent contract for the right candidate.

This is a role working with KS1 children who have been diagnosed with Autism so you must have a passion for supporting children with additional and complex needs. You will work alongside the SENCO and the teacher in the provision to meet the needs of the children. Consistency for the children is key so you must be able to commit full time. You will also help these pupils transition to mainstream lessons when needed.

A successful candidate must be:

  • Be dedicated, resilient and proactive
  • Ideally have a TA2 or TA3 qualification
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies
  • MUST be able to commit until July 2025
  • Already have or be happy to apply for an enhanced DBS disclosure.
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
