THE ROLE

  • Carrying out inspections in accordance with relevant procedures and to the required standard.
  • You will be undertaking NDT inspections on a wide variety of pressure equipment.
  • Interpreting and evaluating test results in accordance with applicable standards, codes or specifications.
  • Carrying out all relevant equipment checks and calibrations as required by the
    standard or test procedures.
  • Working to international standards ensuring requirements within them are met.
  • Collecting, collating and reporting with sketches, where applicable, the result of the NDT examination.
  • Presenting typed reports containing all relevant information in a factual, comprehensive and unambiguous manner.
  • To maintain all records, standards, procedures, notes and log books in an orderly,
    efficient manner and have them available for audit.

Experience required to apply

Must haves:

  • Experience in Ultra Sonic (UT)
  • Must have PCN level 3 in either MPI,DPI or UT and PCN level 2s in the other two
  • Experience in MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection)
  • Experience in Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI )

Qualification and certifications:

  • PCN level 3 in UT (ideally) and PCN level 2 in MPI + DPI
  • With regards to UT inspections our client requires experience in PCN 3.1 and 3.2 as a minimum.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in Eddy Current and PAUT
  • Cswip qual alongside a PCN level 2's
  • Experience in UT inspections PCN 3.8 and 3.9
