Hospital Pharmacist – Band 6/7/8a – Greater Manchester – ASAP start

We are currently looking for an incredible locum Pharmacist to work with our client in Greater Manchester, in a large NHS trust. If you’re interested in a new challenge, then please see the information below!

  • Location: Greater Manchester
  • Duration: 6 Months
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9AM – 5:30PM
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Rate of pay: £25 - £40 per hour via Umbrella.
  • Ward experience is essential.

Requirements and qualifications required for this role:

  • Participate in ward rounds to administer patient drug histories and liaise with patient families, community pharmacists and GPs.
  • Providing clinical expertise and being an educational resource for colleagues in relation to medicines e.g. doses, side-effects, alternatives etc whilst helping to address the public health and social needs of individual patients.
  • Manage the process of medicines reconciliation on admittance or following discharge from hospital and liaise with patients and community pharmacists to ensure patients have the medicines that they need.
  • Inpatient dispensary cover required/clinical screening.
