Station CaretakerJob Details:
- Duties:
- Minor repairs and maintenance to train stations and surrounding areas, car parks, outbuildings, platforms shelters, ticket offices
- Landscaping, Painting, Fabric repairs, doors, windows, glazing, woodwork, plumbing/locks washroom repairs, vandalism, some cleaning tasks
- This role would suit someone from a handyman, caretaker, skilled/ semi/multi-skilled background.
The potential successful candidate will be given a handful of train stations and they would "own" them as their own carrying out all fabric repairs within their skill set on their own or in a team, depending. Role will also include arranging maintenance teams to complete tasks out of candidates skill set.
- Must be competent with basic hand tools, tape measure etc.

- Compliance: Full clean UK driving license, drug and alcohol test.
Hours: 37.5 weekly Mon-Fri from 0600 to 1400 or can be 0700 to 1500, (winter months 0800 to 1600) but flexible to suit within reason
On-Call: 1 week in every 5, working on-call for out of hours cover and weekends once competent (additional payment £130 p/w initial payment with the enhanced hourly rate on top for hours worked) This is compulsory and none negotiableArea: Central Manchester and surrounding areas as far as Buxton to Sandbach
