This role will be working with two of our businesses: Wavelength is one of Australia and New Zealand’s leading digital learning agencies working across the education and workplace learning and development sectors. Begin Bright provides a range of fun, interactive early years education, school readiness and tutoring programmes and educational resources for children, early years educators and teachers.

We’re in an exciting period of growth and looking for a Learning Experience Designer to join our team in the UK to lead and provide consultancy and advice to stakeholders on the most effective learning methodologies and technologies. Working with clients, Early Years and Education subject matter experts, and our internal experts to scope, design and publish learning solutions. You'll bring a wealth of experience in designing and developing digital and blended learning across various tools and industries.

What you’ll be doing

  • Co- designing and publishing, interactive and engaging web resources and content for the education sector
  • Working with the product design team, the project management team and the content management team to deliver to objectives, timeframes, budget, and quality expectation
  • Evaluating and champion current learning trends and approaches, identify new design opportunities, and support the wider team to increase internal learning expertise
  • Collaborating with clients, produce informative and engaging newsletters and other modes of engagement
  • Working with clients to understand their learning needs, with subject-matter experts to understand their topics, and with our creative studio to bring creative solutions to life
  • Working with clients, at all levels of seniority, to discuss their specific learning needs and provide advice on learning tools and approaches
  • Ideate and storyboard innovative learning solutions that create real impact for our clients
  • Applying an iterative design and development approach to reduce risks through early and frequent feedback and testing.

What we’re looking for:

Someone, who’s down to earth, naturally creative, a team player and has a ‘can-do’ problem-solving mindset. You’ll bring exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and a knack for making sense of complex information. You’ll be working in a team-oriented, project-based environment, so you’ll need to bring your personal organisation, interpersonal communication and collaborative A-game.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant work experience as a curriculum developer/designer.

  • Knowledge and experience of the UK education system, ideally Early Years and Primary phase.
  • Comfortable facilitating design sessions with project stakeholders and subject-matter experts.
  • Experience conducting needs analysis and designing innovative solutions for both simple and complex projects
  • Outstanding communication skills with proven experience working with clients in senior positions.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with designers and accept feedback during the design and development process.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage challenging situations, such as difficult meetings, shifting deadlines, and unrealistic client expectations.

As a Wavelength and Bright Begin Learning Designer, you'll collaborate with our broader team to lead the development of learning solutions that make a positive impact on our clients.

Your successful track record in learning design and innovation, along with your tech-savviness, and exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills, will set you apart.

We can’t wait to see you thrive when working with our team and clients to determine learning needs and come up with unique and engaging learning solutions.
