Legionella Risk Assessor - Manchester

28,000 - 35,000 depending on experience + company car + additional benefits

As a Legionella risk assessor with my client, a reputable consulting firm specialising in environmental quality, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring public health and safety.

Your role will involve identifying and mitigating the risk of Legionella bacteria in water systems, contributing to the creation of safer and healthier environments.

Requirements for the Role:

  • 2 Years' experience in conducting risk assessments and Legionella testing
  • Legionella Risk Assessor certification (City & Guilds Level 2 or Equivalent)
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (ACOP L8)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with water systems
  • Health and safety awareness
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required

Responsibilities as a Water Hygiene Engineer:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments of water systems to identify Legionella contamination hazards.
  • Collect and analyse water samples, interpreting results to determine risk levels.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management plans.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations for control measures to prevent Legionella growth.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and prepare reports.
  • Stay informed on regulations and guidelines related to Legionella control.
  • Conduct training sessions for relevant personnel.
  • Monitor water systems continuously and review assessments periodically.
