Requirements for the Role:
- 2 Years' experience in conducting risk assessments and Legionella testing
- Legionella Risk Assessor certification (City & Guilds Level 2 or Equivalent)
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (ACOP L8)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with water systems
- Health and safety awareness
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required
Responsibilities as a Water Hygiene Engineer:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments of water systems to identify Legionella contamination hazards.
- Collect and analyse water samples, interpreting results to determine risk levels.
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management plans.
- Provide guidance and recommendations for control measures to prevent Legionella growth.
- Maintain detailed documentation and prepare reports.
- Stay informed on regulations and guidelines related to Legionella control.
- Conduct training sessions for relevant personnel.
- Monitor water systems continuously and review assessments periodically.
