The Company:

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Developer/Technologist to join our growing team, working with our suppliers to bring tech packs to life. You will work alongside our in-house Design and Garment Technology team to realise the designer’s vision to first sample stage.

The Role:

  • Manage the Critical Path from design brief to product launch, ensuring all areas are engaged in the process.
  • Bringing commercial awareness and supplier knowledge to the rest of the product team.
  • Work with GT re size specs and ensure comments are sent in a timely manner.
  • Interact frequently with factories and mills through site visits or video calls.
  • Coordinate daily communication with all suppliers re samples and new developments.
  • Working with the Design & Technical team to ensure the samples are checked, approved & correctly labelled and stored.
  • Liaising with factories to chase in lab dips, strike offs, samples etc. and checking submissions alongside senior members of the team.
  • Setting up new lines on the system, liaising with Design, and Merchandise Managers to ensure the correct information is input.
  • Liaising with factory to update on products and negotiating margins.
  • Manage the sample process and be aware of any costs incurred.
  • Managing development costs for sampling, couriers etc.
  • Look for cost savings within the department and make recommendations.

Skills Required:

  • 2-3 years as a PD for a women's brand or retailer
  • Knowledge of Excel, Adobe Illustrator and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with and factories overseas where English is not 1st language.
  • Happy to travel overseas when required.
  • Good with people management.
  • Experience in pricing structure and product costings/negotiation.
  • Good commercial perspective & creativity skills.
  • Strong organizational & time management skills.
  • Key understanding of garment construction
  • Demonstrate a pro-active approach to problem solving.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and open to evolving business needs and priorities.
  • Enthusiasm for the product we are designing and manufacturing.
