Reed is currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics & Export Manager to join a well-established and innovative manufacturing business based in Manchester on an initial 6 month basis with a view to becoming permanent. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead export logistics operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), supporting the global distribution of various products.

Role Overview:

As Logistics & Export Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the full export process from UK manufacturing sites to international customers. You’ll ensure shipments are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in full compliance with international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee international shipments via road, sea, and air (FCL, LCL, break-bulk)
Ensure compliance with Incoterms, export controls, and customs documentation
Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers
Prepare and manage export documentation: commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, EUR1/ATR forms
Collaborate with internal teams to align shipping schedules with customer expectations
Monitor logistics KPIs and drive continuous improvement
Stay informed on regional developments affecting logistics operations
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Candidate Profile:

Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in international logistics / export management
Strong understanding of Incoterms, export documentation, and EMEA customs regulations
ERP system experience and freight cost analysis skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
