A market-leading, global manufacturer is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join the business. This role has a large impact across all employees, processes, projects, and systems. The business is going from strength to strength and is continuing to grow. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, experienced Production Management professional to make an impact at a business within an excellent industry.

Role Description

  • Play a key role in the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing; planning, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to improve operational performance
  • Maintain production systems and processes to deliver product on time, to specification and cost
  • Promote functional excellence of the systems team
  • Drive continuous improvement activities
  • Justify capital equipment investment and introduce of modern processes
  • Analyse downtime, identify trends and develop implement solutions
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
  • Take control of in-house apprentice program working closely with key stakeholders
  • Identify skill sets, resource levels, and systems to ensure projects are delivered
  • Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels
  • Communicate KPI's, review and implement

Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques such as Six Sigma
  • Experience of New Product Introduction, reworking design changes and upgrades through to production.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and experience of modern manufacturing techniques and process that include automation and digitalisation
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • SAP
