This is a vacancy for a ASC Primary Teacher, to start ASAP at a primary school in Tameside in their Autism Resource Base.

This is a full time, temporary role that is expected to last until Easter but could cotinue longer as it is to cover the lead teacher of the unit that is off due to surgery.

*NB. Due to the urgent nature of the requirement any interested candidates MUST have a DBS on the Update Service, 2 recent professional referees that will reply quickly as well as other compliance checks.

Hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.Pay - Excellent rate up to £200/day

Paid PAYE direct with Tradewind, we don't use umbrella pay companies.

They are looking for a teacher who has prior experience teaching students with SEND, particularly Autism.

This is a mainstream primary school with an Autism Resource Base attached. The base contains 11 pupils split into 2 classes. 5 in KS2 and 6 in KS1.

Pupils have moderate Autism needs centred around sensory, communication, social or emotional needs.

The teacher will be required to teach the 5 pupils in KS2 however they will also have oversight of the other class and the HLTA leading it.

Both classes also have experienced SEND TA support.

To join us and be successful in this Tameside based ASC Primary Teacher role, you will need to:

  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service.
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Min. of 2 professional references.
  • Provide a CV with a full history.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Have QTS or QTLS.
  • Ability to cover a range of subjects.
  • Some experience teaching children with Autism.
