Senior Project Manager - Cloud / Systems Migration

La Fosse are partnered with a World Leading Research Service provider who are on a major digital transformation and are looking for a Permanent Senior Project Manager to lead on cloud and back office system migrations.

The role allows exposure to C Suite and interesting external stakeholders for the successful incumbent. The role also allows autonomy to lead on cloud and back off system migrations across the business.

Please note this is a permanent opportunity and requires up to 2 days in the office in Greater Manchester.

THE ROLE

The Senior Project manager will be responsible for delivering:

• Being the Senior PM on the cloud migration moving over ~30PB of data from on prem to the cloud and working with external providers to do this.
• Hosting and implementation of tasks across the life-cycle of cloud managed services, to include managing the work of architects, engineers and vendors.
• Being the Senior PM on migrating to new finance and HR systems and ensuring the full lifecycle management of these projects.
• Stakeholder management to engage with C-Suite down to ensure smooth transition to new systems and working with stakeholders to ensure the new systems are adopted into the business.
• Leading on governance and reporting and ensuring risk is managed throughout alongside the PMO and Programme Manager.

YOU

The ideal Senior Project Manager will have prior experience of:

• Working in a small to medium enterprise as a Senior PM on a cloud migration
• Have experience of doing back office system migrations as a Senior PM
• Stakeholder management experience of working with C-Suite down to successfully deliver cloud/system migrations
• Hold a recognised project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2)
• Has the ability to work independently on IT projects and be able to report back in both a formal and informal setting and understand where to esculate issues.
• Can influence, negotiate and reach a consensus when there are conflicting views.
