Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for driving innovation and ensuring the successful launch of ground breaking products? We're seeking a dynamic NPD Manager to lead the technical execution of our products, implement tools for performance and safety, and play a pivotal role in achieving regional sales and profit objectives.
The Role
Global Product and Technology Roadmaps: Devise and execute plans that align with regional sales and profit goals, ensuring the success of our products on a global scale.
Stage Gate NPD Process: Guide the organisation through the defined stage gate process, meticulously documenting and tracking progress.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams to execute NPD plans, holding team members accountable for task milestones.
Market Research: Collaborate with regional marketing teams to conduct market research, staying abreast of consumer insights, trends, and emerging products.
Supplier Selection and Development: Work closely with sourcing to select and develop suppliers that contribute to product excellence.
Cost Analysis and Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities and manage a team for product cost analysis and drive initiatives for cost improvement.
Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the execution of product segment roadmaps, ensuring global alignment on product specifications.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with PEC (Pacific Engineering Centre), Corporate Quality, and R&D to coordinate new product testing and qualification, ensuring the highest standards are met.
Continuous Monitoring: Monitor product group performance and customer satisfaction, proactively addressing issues to minimise loss or exposure.
Market Analysis: Analyse market trends, competitive products, and consumer attitudes to recommend strategic actions for product segment growth.
Intellectual Property (IP) Clearance: Collaborate with legal teams to ensure new product IP clearance and generate invention disclosures.
Consumer Quality Issues: Work with regional quality and vendor engineering teams to troubleshoot and drive corrective actions for consumer quality issues.
Collaborative Innovation: Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to implement programs based on consumer insight and trend data, ensuring a proactive approach to market needs.
About you
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, coupled with at least 5 years of practical experience in the development and management of consumer packaged products.
The required skills for success in this role include a familiarity with 3D modelling tools such as SolidWorks, along with a deep knowledge of product development systems and tools. Analytical prowess is essential for deciphering complex data and formulating effective solutions.
Excellent written and presentation skills are a must, as the position requires proven abilities to influence and communicate effectively with senior management.
The candidate should also demonstrate a results-oriented mindset with a keen focus on collaboration and teamwork, ensuring a dynamic and effective contribution to our organisation.
