No qualifications required but client is expecting 2 years+ rolling stock or similar industry experience.
Contractors who are currently working on this project are completing 12 hour shifts but the client can be flexible if the contractors want to work slightly less hours.

Position Summary:
This position requires candidates to build new state of the art Trains. Trains that are to be built to enter service on UK based Rail Networks. The position is based on a busy Rail Depot in central Manchester applicants would be expected to complete the following:
* Fitting interiors and body sides
* Refitting, Seats, Grab Rails, Poles etc
* Work from written instruction (VMI)
* Work from Mechanical Engineering drawings, working to specific measurements
* Replacing mechanical components to correspond to engineering drawings
* Work flexibly within team
* Working to the business competency standards (Torque Tightening, Earth Bonding, Rivnut, Monobolt)
Person Profile:
You will be a highly self-motivated individual, able to work under your own initiative. Attitude and enthusiasm is key for this role as those that display reliability, technical ability and motivation may be asked to stay on in the long-term.
Candidates from the following background will be considered:
* 21 Months experience in Mechanical Production, Maintenance or Modifications in Rolling Stock, Aviation, Automotive, HGV, PCV, Plant or engineering within the Armed Forces and/or a NVQ, BTEC or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification or above in a related Mechanical field.
