This is a vacancy for a Special Needs Teacher, to start ASAP at a Special Needs school in Manchester.

*will consider teachers looking for part-time hours.

This is a long term temporary role with the potential to turn permanent for the right person.

Hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am-4pm.Pay - Excellent rate up to £200/day for the first 12 weeks, then equal pay to what the school would pay you on contract.

Paid PAYE direct with Tradewind, we don't use umbrella pay companies.

They are looking for a teacher who has prior experience teaching students with SEND & someone who is the empathetic, patient and able to differentiate their work to meet individual needs and levels.

The school caters for young people at KS3-5 with Complex Needs utilising a bespoke curriculum that is focused on preparing students for life after school and aiming to help them achieve their potential. You would be teaching students who are working at much lower levels than expected for their age and as such your lessons and activities would be based on physical, social & emotional, sensory and commucation development as well as academic attainment.

Their main site is for KS3, KS4, Structured and Experiential learners. Here they have a Hydrotherapy Pool, Rebound trampoline, Gym, Soft play room, Radio Station and a DT room with a Kiln. They also run an Allotment, Cafe and Shop delivered by their students so their offering is truly holistic and bespoke.

To join us and be successful in this Special Needs Teacher role, you will need to:

  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one)
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Min. of 2 professional references.
  • Provide a CV with a full history.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Have QTS or QTLS.
